Broadcaster Freedom Act of 2009 - Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), notwithstanding any other provision of any Act, from having the authority to require broadcasters to present opposing viewpoints on controversial issues of public importance, commonly referred to as the Fairness Doctrine.

Get involved in this action if you cherish your 1st Amendment rights. The statists within the Federal Government want to make the entire American media, including talk radio and the internet a sounding board for liberal agenda. PBS already exists, partly funded with tax payer monies. This is more outlet for their devisive messages than they deserve. Call, email or write your Congressman/woman today and refer to H.R.226 Broadcaster Freedom Act of 2009 by name and ask them to support Representative Pence in this most important piece of legislation.

Obama's Administration soon under the microscope.

The San Antonio Congressman who is in line to become chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee is promising 'a number of investigations and oversight committee actions' which he vows will 'hold the administration accountable,.
Veteran Republican Lamar Smith, a social conservative who grew up in the brush country of south Texas which is now transit point for illegal immigrants and drugs, said in a news conference that a number of issues will come into the sights of his committee when he takes the chairmanship in January, including taking the Obama Administration to task for failing to do enough to protect the southern border.
Smith says it is his Constitutional duty to bring Obama's Administration to some measure of accountability.
"Part of that checks and balances is in fact holding the administration accountable, is in fact insisting on more transparency, is insisting on more honesty, and getting the facts," Smith said. "Right now, because of the one party monopoly, the Administration has been able to dodge any kind of supervision, any kind of oversight committee action, and they refuse to testify, and that is no longer acceptable."

Keith Olbermann's predicament

Keith Olbermann, MSNBC's primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.

First reported by Politico and confirmed by Federal Election Commission filings, the primetime television host gave $2,400 – the maximum individual amount allowed – to each of the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway, and Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords. (View PDF's of FEC filings for Conway, Grijalva, and Giffords)
